When Your Baby Is Unsettled, You Feel It Too

Parenting a newborn or young infant is full of joy — and exhaustion. When your baby is struggling with gas, colic, poor sleep, or general fussiness, it can feel like you've tried everything. Feeds, rocking, white noise. Nothing seems to last. Many parents in London, Ontario are looking for something more than a quick fix. They want a calm, nurturing environment where their baby can truly unwind — and where they can feel supported too.

That's where baby float hydrotherapy comes in.

What Is Baby Float Hydrotherapy?

Baby float hydrotherapy is a gentle wellness experience where your infant floats freely in a custom-designed tub filled with warm, purified water. A soft neck float supports your baby's head while their body moves naturally: weightless, relaxed, and free.

The water environment closely mimics the sensation of the womb, which is why so many babies become calm within minutes of entering the tub. Sessions run approximately 30 minutes and are available for babies aged 1 month to 3 years.

Dolphin Dive: London's First Dedicated Baby Spa

At Dolphin Dive Baby Spa, we created London's first space built entirely around infant and early childhood wellness. Every detail of our hydrotherapy suite — from the custom float tubs to the calm, sensory-friendly environment — is designed with your baby's safety and comfort in mind.

Our sessions are guided by experienced staff trained in infant hydrotherapy and pediatric wellness, so you're in caring, knowledgeable hands from the moment you arrive.

This is a standalone float session. If you're looking for a session that combines hydrotherapy with professional infant massage, explore our Baby Hydrotherapy & Massage Combo.

What Parents Notice After Baby Hydrotherapy

Baby float hydrotherapy supports your infant's overall wellbeing in meaningful ways:

  • Better sleep: Warm water and free movement help calm the nervous system, often leading to longer, deeper rest.
  • Relief from gas and colic: The buoyancy and movement help shift trapped air and ease digestive discomfort naturally.
  • Sensory and muscle development: Floating encourages gentle, independent movement that supports coordination and body awareness.

🌊 Frequently Asked Questions

Click any question to expand the answer.

Is baby float hydrotherapy safe?

Yes. Sessions take place in warm, purified water in tubs designed specifically for infants, and a trained team member is present throughout. Your baby is supervised at every moment and is never left unattended. Water temperature is monitored continuously and every session is adapted to your baby's cues.

What age can my baby start hydrotherapy?

We welcome babies from 1 month up to 3 years. Our team assesses your baby's readiness at every visit and adapts the session to their stage, so a newborn's first float looks quite different from a confident toddler's.

What should I bring to the session?

A fresh diaper, a swim diaper, and your baby's favourite towel. We provide everything else. Feeding your baby 30 to 45 minutes before you arrive tends to make for a calmer, happier float.

How is this different from the Hydrotherapy & Massage Combo?

This session is the float on its own, 30 minutes in the water. The Hydrotherapy & Massage Combo is a longer visit that pairs the float with RMT-led infant massage, so your baby gets both in one appointment.

Will my baby cry during hydrotherapy?

Some babies settle straight away, others need a few minutes to adjust, and a little crying at first is completely normal. Sessions are baby-led, so we slow down, pause for a cuddle or a feed, and let your baby set the pace. You stay right beside them the whole time.
