Arpita is a Certified Yoga Instructor with deep training in prenatal practice. She leads every Prenatal Yoga class herself - tailoring poses to your trimester, offering modifications in the moment, and creating a calm, welcoming space where you can connect with your changing body and baby.
❓ Questions
All trimesters are welcome, including the first. Arpita modifies poses based on where you are in your pregnancy - so the same class works whether you're 8 weeks or 38 weeks. Most students join between weeks 12-36, but earlier and later is fine too.
None at all. This class is built for every level - first-time yoga or long-time practitioner. Arpita walks you through every pose and offers easier or deeper variations so you can move at the pace your body wants.
Stretchy, comfortable clothes you can move in (yoga pants and a supportive top work well). Bring a water bottle and a thin layer for savasana (final rest). Mats, blocks, bolsters and blankets are all provided - you don't need any equipment.
If you've been advised to avoid exercise by your care provider, or you have a complicated pregnancy, please check in with them first. For most healthy, low-risk pregnancies, prenatal yoga is gentle enough to start anytime. If you're unsure, message us and we'll talk it through.
Listen to your body - sit out anything that doesn't feel right, take water breaks, lie down whenever you need. The class is your time, not a performance. Arpita will check in with you and never push you past what feels good.
Series spots are reserved for the full month, but no problem if you miss a week - just join us the next Monday. If you miss multiple weeks, please reach out and we'll work something out.
Yes - $25 + HST per single session when space allows. Drop-ins are subject to availability since series students get priority. Contact us the day before to confirm space.
Prenatal Yoga is a wellness class, not a clinical treatment, so it's not typically billable through standard extended health plans. Some employer wellness or family benefits programs may reimburse - check with your provider. If you're looking for an insurance-eligible session, see our RMT-led Prenatal Massage instead.
