What it is

Don’t just stretch, get stretched

In assisted stretch therapy, you relax on a comfortable table while your practitioner moves you through gentle, targeted stretches you can’t easily reach on your own. Using techniques like PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation), each session works layer by layer through tight muscles, joints, and fascia.

The result is deeper, safer, more effective mobility work than solo stretching, calming for the nervous system and genuinely restorative. Every session is tailored to your body, your posture, and how you’re feeling that day.

Not a massage, and not a workout. Stretch therapy sits between the two: hands-on and relaxing like bodywork, but focused on lengthening and mobility. Wear comfortable, flexible clothing (leggings, joggers, a t-shirt); no oils, no getting undressed.
The benefits

Why people book stretch therapy

Small sessions, meaningful change in how you move, recover, and carry stress.

🤸

More range of motion

Move more freely through hips, shoulders, back, and neck, the areas that stiffen with daily life.

💆

Less tension & stiffness

Release the tightness that builds from sitting, lifting, feeding, and carrying little ones.

🧍

Better posture

Rebalance the body and ease the aches that come from hunching over phones, desks, and strollers.

🏃

Faster recovery

Support muscle recovery and help prevent the niggles that sideline active bodies.

🌿

Calmer nervous system

Slow, guided stretching quiets the mind, and many clients describe it as deeply relaxing.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be flexible?

Not at all. Stretch therapy meets your body exactly where it is. In fact, the tighter and stiffer you feel, the more you tend to notice. Your practitioner keeps every stretch within a comfortable, safe range.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, flexible clothing you can move in: leggings, joggers, or shorts with a t-shirt. There’s no undressing and no oils, so you can head straight back to your day afterward.

How is this different from a massage?

They’re two entirely separate services. Massage therapy works into the muscle with pressure while you stay still. Stretch therapy actively moves your joints and muscles through their range to improve mobility and length. They’re booked separately and delivered by different specialists, and many clients enjoy both.

Is it covered by insurance?

Stretch Therapy is a self-pay wellness service delivered by our certified stretch specialist (not a Registered Massage Therapist), so it isn’t eligible for extended-health reimbursement and no insurance receipt is issued. It is a distinct service from our Registered Massage Therapy, which is booked and billed separately.

How often should I come?

Most clients feel a difference after one session, with lasting change from a regular rhythm: weekly or bi-weekly to start, then a maintenance cadence that suits you. A regular routine is easy to keep up.

Is stretch therapy safe during pregnancy or postpartum?

Gentle, guided stretching can be wonderful during this season, but every body is different. Let us know at booking so your session is tailored appropriately, and check with your care provider if you have any concerns.

Ready to feel the difference?

Book your first session and give your body the space to move, breathe, and reset.
